It’s so unexpected and we’re so grateful!
New dad, Reden Ramos won $1 million on the December 10 LOTTO 6/49 draw!
The Saskatoon winner said he was buying formula for his newborn baby son when he purchased the ticket. It took him a while to find out he had won because, in his words: he was busy!
“I didn’t know I was a winner right away,” Ramos laughed. “I have three jobs and a baby, so I stay busy!”
When Ramos did discover his win, he was overjoyed.
“It was around 8 am and I was heading to work,” he explained. “I scanned the ticket on [the Lotto Spot app] and thought, ‘Is it true?’”
“I must have scanned it at least 10 times!” he laughed. “It was hard to relax thinking about the win –I told my wife and she started to cry.”
Ramos said the timing could not be more perfect for his growing family.
“We feel truly blessed to be able to take care of our baby,” he said. “I will open a bank account for my baby boy and we’re thinking about properties – it’s a once in a lifetime thing!”
Ramos said he’s ready to use the windfall to kick-off a new chapter.
“It’s so unexpected and we’re so grateful,” he beamed. “This year is a breakthrough: we’re going into the New Year with a new baby and an unexpected win!”
Ramos purchased his winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket from London Drugs at 134 Primrose Dr. in Saskatoon. He won his prize in the December 10 Gold Ball Draw with the selection: 39561590-01, a white ball.
