It feels wonderful!

Joan Etta was cleaning out her purse when she discovered a couple of old lottery tickets; one led to a huge EXTRA win!

The Regina local scanned her Oct. 31 LOTTO MAX ticket on the Lotto Spot app and discovered she won $100,000 on the EXTRA.

“I was shocked! I didn’t believe the app,” she laughed while claiming her prize.

She scanned the ticket again on the app to make sure of what she was seeing then placed the ticket back in her purse for safe keeping, later taking it to a retailer who confirmed what the app had told her.

Etta kept the win under wraps for a little while longer, waiting for a special occasion to share the news with her family.

“I told my husband and children on Christmas morning. They were so surprised.”

The winner said she is going to take some time deciding what to do with her winnings.

Etta purchased her $6 LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket at Sherwood Co-op Grasslands, located at 4705 Gordon Rd. in Regina. She won her prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number drawn on Oct. 31—3531687.
